FINAL REFLECTION
YOGA

Yoga with Adrienne: Lower back & hamstrings
In today's class, I did exercises relating to my lower back and my hamstrings, which meant the exercises also targeted my flexibility. I also focused on my breathing, which is a significant part of yoga, as each exercise is sequenced with deep breaths: inhalations and exhalations lasting 10 seconds each. During the class, we only did two exercises, but the time is taken during the warm, up, changing sides, and the cooldown, made the lessons the full 30 minutes.
I did this yoga class from 5:30-6pm, which was within my anticipated time range.

Yoga with Adrienne: flexibility class
Adrienne's flexibility class was actually easier than I thought it would be, as I am not that flexible. It was only a 15-minute class, so it was much shorter than her lower back and hamstrings class, however, it was the same style - a total of 3 exercises, a focus on breathing, and slow transitions between each side and each exercise. The warm-up and cool down always focus on the 'butterfly position,' feet together - the more generalised yoga position, and a major focus on breathing.
I did this class later than I had intended, as I was working on my summative and other homework. However, as it was only a shorter class, the lateness did not have much of an effect on my rest time after the end of the class and dinner.
I completed it from 6:15 - 6:30pm.

Yoga with Adrienne: VULNERABILITY
Today I was really stressed because there is a lot of school work, so I did the vulnerability yoga class as a way of de-stressing and relaxing my mind. Adrienne recommended we use a blanket or a towel to soften our mats, and add some comfort to the session, so I used one of the sofa blankets. A lot of the class was focused around breathing, and the exercises were gentle and slow, so it was the perfect choice for me being so anxious with school work.
As I spent most of the day working, this session was a lot later than I intended, in fact, I did it before bed after I got home from my Grandma's house. It was a good way to calm my mind and body before sleeping, so I felt like it was a very beneficial 30 minutes.
I completed it from 9:30-10:00pm

Down dog: personalised class
Using the app Down Dog, it created a personalised class for me, considering my ability, weight and preferences. TAs this app had great reviews, I was keen to try it. As it was an inter-mediates class, the flexibility was quite challenging, however, some of the exercises were simple. There was a lady on the screen, demonstrating and leading the class, instructing me on my breathing, form, etc. I chose to do a 30 minute class, so ti was a good length for me, regarding my ability and work schedule.
I completed it from 6:00 - 6:30 pm
